Bonn, 29 April 2026 – linqi has been officially nominated for the Ludwig 2026 in the ‘Innovation’ category, the regional SME award organised by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Bonn/Rhein-Sieg and the Cologne Chamber of Crafts (HWK). The Bonn-based software company, which enables organisations worldwide to digitise recurring processes, is delighted about the nomination and to be taking part in the competition.
The Ludwig: So much innovative potential in Bonn’s SMEs
The Ludwig 2026 honours companies from Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district that stand out in the categories of growth, sustainability, marketing and innovation. Named in honour of Ludwig van Beethoven – who, like linqi, hails from Bonn – the award has been highlighting the wealth of ideas, courage and innovative spirit within the region’s SMEs since 2023. It is jointly organised by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Bonn/Rhein-Sieg and the Cologne Chamber of Crafts (HWK), supported by the economic development agencies of the Federal City of Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg district, and sponsored by Sparkasse KölnBonn and Kreissparkasse Köln.
“For us as a Bonn-based company, the Ludwig Award is naturally something special. We work every day to relieve businesses and public authorities in the region – and far beyond – of administrative burdens. We are delighted that this is also recognised by the local business community.” — Christian Korda, Head of Sales at linqi
Nominated in the Innovation category: What’s behind linqi
Anyone who works in a company will be familiar with this: the same processes, over and over again, carried out by people who could be putting their time to better use. linqi transforms precisely these recurring processes – what are currently still paper forms, email chains or manual tasks – into a structured, digital process. What makes it special is that anyone wishing to submit a holiday request digitally or automatically forward a checklist doesn’t need an IT department or a single line of code. Specialist departments can do this themselves using linqi – in just a few minutes.
linqi was founded in Bonn in 2013. Since then, this ‘made in Germany’ software has been automating recurring workflows in companies, public authorities and corporations worldwide – with over 500,000 active users and 560,000 automated processes, including hosting in German ISO 27001-certified data centres.
“Every day, I see how much untapped potential there is in companies because processes are still carried out manually when they could have been automated long ago. And I see how quickly this can be changed when you give the people who deal with these processes on a daily basis the right tools, so that they can shape them themselves. That is precisely what drives us at linqi as a Software-as-a-Service provider for business process automation.” — Jörg Sager, CEO of linqi
The awards ceremony will take place on 9 June 2026 at the GOP Varieté Theatre in Bonn. In attendance: Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia. We’re excited – and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for all the other nominees too.
